Blog Tour Stop with Review - Coming Home to Wishington Bay by Maxine Morrey

Welcome to my stop on the Blog Tour for Coming Home to Wishington Bay by the gorgeous Maxine Morrey! I'm so excited to share my review with you!

What They Say:

Home is where the heart is…
Holly doesn’t have time for a holiday this year. But when her job threatens to send her over the brink, her boss insists she take a sabbatical. So she packs her bags and escapes to her beloved grandmother Gigi’s house on Wishington Bay, which has sat empty since Gigi passed away.

But Holly’s dreams of a coastal escape take an unexpected turn. Holly didn’t expect to spend time with any man this summer – let alone an Aussie Adonis…but when she meets her next door neighbour Gabe and his little dog Bryan, it’s clear her quiet summer of strolling along the sand and wandering through the seaside village’s tiny streets on her own will come with a hefty dose of distraction.

With a summer to fill and Gigi’s wonderful and surprising house to sort through, Holly knew it would be a summer packed with old memories. She just didn’t expect to make so many new ones…

Coming Home to Wishington Bay is the new gorgeous uplifting rom-com from Maxine Morrey, perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan and Tilly Tennant!

What I Say:

I was so excited to be part of the tour for this book! Maxine is one of the sweetest people to speak to online and her books are just as lovely as she is!

So, Monday and Tuesday, I was having a really bad day, feeling really poorly and stressed so I dove in. I know I had left it late, but things have been crazy. I curled up with my phone to read and found myself transported to Wishington Bay.

From the first page, I felt like I belonged within the pages of this story. Holly is just the BEST kind of character. I adored her, I wanted to protect her and hug her and just love her. And Bryan (with a Y) was my favourite! He is the most adorable little sausage dog and reminded me of my Bella Boo (although she's a Pomeranian!). Obviously, Gabe the hot doctor made for easy reading too.

This little village with all the quirky residents, shops and treasure troves made me really want to live there. And don't get me started on the private bit of beach! That's heaven! I adored picturing Gigi and her house in my mind and could easily imagine spending long lazy afternoons on that porch!

Ahhh, this book really was just the perfect escape from a chaotic, messy brain! Thank you, Maxine, for making me feel so much better!

This book is a summer must-read! 10/10

2015: The year of working, laughing, loving and living

Well, here we are. A week and a half into the new year. Are you all sticking to your resolutions? I am, so far. I decided that I want to be more Sparkly. That to me, means happier, nicer, more kind and caring. It means feeling good about myself and my choices. It means feeling free to love and laugh. Over the years I have lost my giggle. That was one thing my Mum told me in a letter she wrote me before she died. Never stop giggling. And I'm sad to say I did stop. People have noticed, family and friends have commented on it. My fiancé has mentioned it more than once and it was starting to cause problems. I got quite depressed and struggled on a daily basis. Books were kind of a saving grace as was Twitter. But the real world and my REAL life were shut out. So, this year I have decided to change all of that. 2015 is my year of laughing, loving, travelling, working, smiling, playing and giggling. I will still read and review, but only the books I choose. No more blog tours unl...
