Blog Tour Stop and Review of The Island by CL Taylor

Welcome to my Blog Tour Stop and Review of The Island by CL Taylor! What They Say: Welcome to The Island. Where your worst fears are about to come true… It was supposed to be the perfect holiday: a week-long trip for six teenage friends on a remote tropical island. But when their guide dies of a stroke leaving them stranded, the trip of a lifetime turns into a nightmare. Because someone on the island knows each of the group’s worst fears. And one by one, they’re becoming a reality. Seven days in paradise. A deadly secret. Who will make it off the island alive? What I Say: Wow! This book completely blew my mind! CL Taylor is one of my go-to authors, her books always deliver an adrenaline rush and make your head spin a little bit. Each book she writes is darker and more messed up than the one before. The Island is listed as a YA thriller but I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good chilling read. There are ...

Praise for Strangers: ‘I was glued from start to finish!’ Shari Lapena ‘This masterfully woven story comes together in a thrilling and unexpected climax.’ Fiona Cummins ‘Clever, surprising and nuanced – C.L. Taylor is at the top of her game.’ Gillian McAllister What I Say: CL Taylor is one of my "drop everything and read her new book straight away" authors. Her writing is tense a...

Sometimes your first love won’t let you go… Lou Wandsworth is used to being headline news as, aged fourteen, she ran away to France with her 31-year-old teacher, Mike Hughes. Now 32, Lou’s life is in tatters – and she resolves to return home to confront Mike for the damage he has caused. But she soon finds that Mike is unchanged, and is focussing his attention on 13-year-old Chloe Meadows. Determined to make sure that history doesn’t repeat itself, Lou decides to take matters into her own hands. But Mike is a predator of the worst kind, and as she tries to bring him to justice, it’s clear that Lou could once again become his prey… What I Say: It isn't very often that a book grabs from the synopsis and demands that I read it. But this somehow always happens with C.L Taylor books. I read the blurb and just know instantly that I am in for a rollercoaster r...
