Blog Tour Stop and Review of The Island by CL Taylor

Welcome to my Blog Tour Stop and Review of The Island by CL Taylor!

What They Say:

Welcome to The Island.

Where your worst fears are about to come true…

It was supposed to be the perfect holiday: a week-long trip for six teenage friends on a remote tropical island.

But when their guide dies of a stroke leaving them stranded, the trip of a lifetime turns into a nightmare.

Because someone on the island knows each of the group’s worst fears. And one by one, they’re becoming a reality.

Seven days in paradise. A deadly secret.

Who will make it off the island alive?

What I Say:

Wow! This book completely blew my mind! CL Taylor is one of my go-to authors, her books always deliver an adrenaline rush and make your head spin a little bit. Each book she writes is darker and more messed up than the one before. The Island is listed as a YA thriller but I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good chilling read.

There are fantastic characters, some you love, some you dislike and some you just don't trust. The setting is a dream, I mean who wouldn't kill to be on a paradise desert island right about now?! Taylor describes paradise so beautifully and vividly that I became lost in the story. The drama is tense and page-turning and the who-dunnit aspect will keep you guessing to the very end,

I adored how the characters were bonded together, from birth, and no one wanted to believe any of the were capable of doing anything sinister. It makes you turn on each of them, one at a time until your head is spinning and you don't know who to believe any more. Utterly amazing writing talent.

If you've never read a book by CL Taylor before, you're missing out big time! This would be a great place to start, I guarantee you'll be addicted. 10/10

2015: The year of working, laughing, loving and living

Well, here we are. A week and a half into the new year. Are you all sticking to your resolutions? I am, so far. I decided that I want to be more Sparkly. That to me, means happier, nicer, more kind and caring. It means feeling good about myself and my choices. It means feeling free to love and laugh. Over the years I have lost my giggle. That was one thing my Mum told me in a letter she wrote me before she died. Never stop giggling. And I'm sad to say I did stop. People have noticed, family and friends have commented on it. My fiancĂ© has mentioned it more than once and it was starting to cause problems. I got quite depressed and struggled on a daily basis. Books were kind of a saving grace as was Twitter. But the real world and my REAL life were shut out. So, this year I have decided to change all of that. 2015 is my year of laughing, loving, travelling, working, smiling, playing and giggling. I will still read and review, but only the books I choose. No more blog tours unl...
