Challenge Carol! Humorous author, Carol E. Wyer has just taken launching a new book to a new level. To coincide with the forthcoming release of her seventh book, Carol will be taking on some unusual challenges including belly dancing, a ‘Bush Tucker’ trial, zorbing and zip lining while playing a kazoo and indoor skydiving. Carol says, “After completing the book I suddenly had an urge to have a go at some of the challenges that the characters face. So, I thought, why not? The inner child in me went crazy with delight and encouraged me to commit to a few mad challenges before I remembered how old I really am. I don’t think I even need to tell you how excited I’ve been for this collection of stories to come out! I think the buzz from the launch party etc probably was a clue… I can honestly say that I really enjoyed every single story and have read most of them twice. Ok, so we've been living in our cosy little caravan for, what, about 6 weeks now. And I gotta tell ya. Life is good. I've never felt so peaceful and contented. Don't get me wrong, we still have our little spats about work and stuff, but nothing like we used to have. Every morning we wake up and it's bright, no matter how gloomy it is outside, it's bright in here. That's probably down to the pink curtains, but I like it! We have breakfast together outside if it's not raining and then he goes off to work. I sort my Dad out and then spend an hour doing whatever needs doing. Whether it be boring stuff like laundry or ebay, or it could be reading or writing if nothing else needs me. I then roll into work for an hour or 2 and sort out postage etc. When that's done, I do a bit of food shopping and come back home. The rest of the day is mine. I spend a lot of time reading outside. Hi! I’m Trish, more commonly known in the online world as @Tishylou. I’m 37 and I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. I moved to Lancashire, UK in 2000 with my parents and my younger brother. My Mum passed away from lung cancer in May 2010 and my brother moved back to Canada last year, so now it’s just me and Pops. Oh, and Justin, He’s my fiance and business partner. We’ve been engaged for 12 years (no, I don’t know when we’ll get married!) and have worked together for about 10 of them. My world is pretty simple. I like books, Twitter, tea, music and friends. I have had some really tough times (haven’t we all?) and all of the above things have helped me to come through them and start a new fight. This blog is, I hope, somewhere I can thank my friends for their support, thank authors for writing fabulous books (and to some of you for becoming friends too) and just generally share with you what goes on in my head. Well, a lot of other people seem to be jumping ship and leaving Wordpress due to their recent policy changes regarding hosting blog tours and pre-prepared posts. It seems like a crazy policy to me and I suspect they will lose a lot of users due to this. Myself included. I need to be able to host pre -written posts and content in order to do my job as a book blogger. Authors like us to post things they have written and information that is necessary and relevant to their works. A lot of people seem to be moving to Blogger. I had a blog here a few years ago for our bus journey, which is still running, but hasn't been updated in a long time. This blog will be the same as my old one. Book stuff, life stuff and whatever else I feel like posting. I hope I don't lose any of my lovely followers during my move. I will still leave my Wordpress blog open, but will not use it much. I will start archiving my old book reviews and posts over here but it will take time, so please bear with ...
