Welcome to my stop on the Blog Tour for When Life Gives You Lemons by Fiona Gibson!
What They Say:
Sometimes
life can be bittersweet . . .
Between tending to the whims of her seven-year-old and the demands of her boss, Viv barely gets a moment to herself. It’s not quite the life she wanted, but she hasn’t run screaming for the hills yet.
But then Viv’s husband Andy makes his mid-life crisis her problem. He’s having an affair with his (infuriatingly age-appropriate) colleague, a woman who – unlike Viv – doesn’t put on weight when she so much as glances at a cream cake.
Viv suddenly finds herself single, with zero desire to mingle. Should she be mourning the end of life as she knows it, or could this be the perfect chance to put herself first?

What I Say:
You always know you're in for a treat with a Fiona Gibson book. Always funny, romantic, light-hearted but with some serious undertones and always with a lovely, sexy man.
When Life Gives You Lemons is no different. Viv and her young daughter Izzy had me laughing and smiling so much. I loved their relationship. Personally, Izzy was my favourite part of the whole book!
Viv is a wonderful, warm and likeable character. She's an "every-woman", struggling with her age and all it brings, relationships changing and her job not quite fulfilling her. She has some great friends, including Penny, Jules and Isla, who are all wonderful women. There are some surprising characters too, not naming names but wait and see.
The 70s fashion theme running through the book is just awesome! I am a huge 70s lover. I love the colours, styles, music. I wish I had been there! So I especially adored the Girl Friday aspect of this story!
This is my fave Fiona Gibson book to date! More Izzy and Bobby please! 9/10
When Life Gives You Lemons is out now in ebook and paperback with Avon Books!
